Working a full-time job while running a business is no small feat. Finding balance is an on-going challenge. As a business owner I feel like I need at least 26 hours a day to get everything done. I compartmentalize my "free" time into three areas; Self- care/recharge, Social, and my business/work. My March definitely favored my social life. I had trips and dinners with a great deal of fun. But as a proud introvert, socializing follows with days of solitude and self-care. I need to recharge that internal battery. So, in March I wasn’t in the studio as frequently as I wanted to be.
I strive for the ideal life triangle where all aspects of my free time are equal and fulfilled.
Studio
That being said, I am currently working on some new jewelry pieces. I wanted to continue with my December (52 Weeks) theme of one of a kind jewelry. I am testing out new layouts with my gemstone inlays and stone settings.
These earrings feature garnet cabochons accented by flush set black onyx and white mother of pearl inlay. The earring tops are almost completed. The inlay is the final step. The tops will have black jet stone inlay around the garnets to coordinate with the black onyx gemstones.
Mother's Day Mini Collection
I am putting together a mini collection of ready to wear jewelry for Mother's Day releasing one month prior on April 14th. I pulled some gemstones from my stock pile for a weblog exclusive. I'll also add two more earring styles to my $100 and Under Collection.

Tip #2
Having trouble putting on that gemstone or chain bracelet? Use scotch tape! Lay one side of the bracelet on your wrist and attach the scotch tape perpendicular to your bracelet. Wrap the bracelet around your wrist and clasp. Remove the scotch tape.
No more bracelet assistance needed, as long as you got some scotch tape!
